Earthquake of 5.3 degrees shook Costa Rica this morning
The earthquake was felt in several parts of Costa Rica
According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI) the quake had a magnitude of 5.3 degrees on the Richter scale
The epicenter was 17 kilometers southeast of Cóbano, entrance to the Gulf of Nicoya, Guanacaste. Occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers. According to Marino Protti from the OVSICORI the earthquake event occurred in the same place where it originated in 1990 the last Cóbano earthquake.
